I support women on the journey to motherhood and beyond

The motherhood journey is not the same for everyone. But don’t worry, I’ve got your back. I can support you through this so that you can embrace it and enjoy it.

My story

During my work with families, as well as in various preschools and schools in India and abroad as a NPL practitioner - providing counselling, consultation and crisis intervention, analysing development patterns, along with many Senior Occupational Therapist from New York City Department, early childhood experts, speech therapist from various parts of India, I realized that there are lots of issues in child development .The early intervention start only when a child is 2-3 years old, because that’s when we start watching for signs of delays in development.

My interest in learning Infant massage came from when I read Vimala Mclure’s, book gifted by one of my friend, who had Post- natal depression and reading Vimala’s book gave her confident as a mother and she was able to create a beautiful bond with her baby . As I read the book , I felt that I completely relate to her ethos and vision .

Maternal postpartum depression (PPD) is a common problem after childbirth. It is a risk factor for low-quality mother–infant interaction. After reading the book, I realized that, Infant massage may help alleviate depressive disorders.

The book inspired me to completed my extensive and practical, multi-phase training from International Association of Infant Massage under my wonderful trainer Sylvie Hetu and Claudio Nathalie .I am a Certified Infant massage instructor, also the host and Organizer of all International Association of Infant Massage events in India. I have been working with many families since then, teaching the wonderful art of Infant Massage.

Studies have shown that children whose mothers were overly stressed during pregnancy are themselves more vulnerable to anxiety as a result. High levels of stress hormones may cross the placenta and affect the baby in the womb in a way that carries long-term implications, that’s when I decided to attend my first Lamaze child birth class , this helped me in training expected mothers on safe and healthy pregnancy, birth and early parenting through evidence-based education and advocacy.

I follow Lamaze 6 healthy birth practice. The goal of Lamaze is to build a mother's confidence in her ability to give birth, through the presentation of classes that help pregnant women understand how to cope with pain in ways that both facilitate labour and promote comfort, including relaxation techniques, movement and massage.

Child Birth Class

A lot of people don’t bother about preparing and planning for their birth. They feel, they’ve got better things to do – like get the nursery ready? Or work until the last minute? I get it.

The truth is, it’s the act of planning and preparing that helps you to feel ready. It can make the difference between being able to go with the flow when things don’t go your way on that day. My antenatal class will walk you through the essentials steps of birth preparation at a pace that’s right for you.

Your birth experience has the potential to infuse you with confidence and a sense of ‘I CAN DO ANYTHING’ that will carry you through those tricky first few months (or years?!) as a mother.
